Summary
OctoPrint 1.0.0 contains an information disclosure weakness in the getSettings function of src/octoprint/server/ajax/settings.py, part of the API Key Handler component (CWE-200, CWE-284). A remote attacker can exploit it without privileges or user interaction, and a public exploit is available. The affected code comes from a 2013 release, before access control was implemented, when the endpoint was part of first-run setup. The API key has been admin-gated since 1.2.0, and GET /api/settings requires Permissions.SETTINGS_READ plus reauthentication in all current releases.
