Summary
Penta Security WAPPLES 4.0.54.1, 5.0 and 6.0 contains a path traversal flaw (CWE-22) in the name parameter of /webapi/file/transfer. An authenticated remote attacker can download arbitrary files from the server, and a hardcoded system account makes authentication effectively trivial. A public exploit is linked in the references, and the Shadowserver Foundation first observed exploitation on 2023-10-19.
