Summary

Retool before 3.88.0 contains a cross-site scripting flaw in its image proxy. The proxy serves attacker-supplied SVG files from the Retool origin without a Content Security Policy (CWE-79), so JavaScript runs in victims' sessions. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by supplying an attacker-hosted SVG in the url parameter of /api/imageProxy. The Shadowserver Foundation first observed exploitation evidence on 2024-10-15.

Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2024-10-15.
