Summary
Fortinet FortiOS 6.4.0 through 6.4.16, 7.0.0 through 7.0.19, 7.2.0 through 7.2.13, 7.4.0 through 7.4.9 and 7.6.0 through 7.6.4, FortiProxy, FortiSwitchManager and FortiPAM are affected. An improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory (CWE-22) lets the CLI write or delete files outside the intended directory. An authenticated attacker with an admin profile and at least read-write permissions can exploit this over the network. CISA added this flaw to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2026-10-16.
