Summary
Raptor RDF Syntax Library from 2.0.15 through 2.0.16 contains a heap buffer overflow (CWE-122) in raptor_new_term_from_counted_literal(). The function truncates language tag lengths to an unsigned char, so tags of 256 bytes or longer overflow the heap. An attacker who supplies a crafted Turtle, TriG, N-Triples or N-Quads document can corrupt heap memory and crash the application, and possibly execute code. A proof-of-concept exploit is reported.
