Summary
Zabbix Server and Proxy versions from 7.0.0 through 7.0.28 and from 7.4.0 through 7.4.12 are affected. An out-of-bounds write (CWE-787) lets binary items crash the Server or Proxy when they receive certain NULL byte input. A remote attacker with low privileges can cause a loss of availability. The flaw only affects deployments that use MySQL or MariaDB as the Zabbix database.
