Summary

Chaterm from 0.2.0 before 0.12.1 contains a login cross-site request forgery flaw (CWE-352) in its chaterm:// OAuth callback handling. The application does not validate OAuth state, so a crafted callback from a web page can sign a victim into an attacker's account. Remote attackers can trigger this from a web page with attacker-controlled user information, and default data sync then uploads the victim's saved hosts, passwords, and private keys to the attacker's account.

Description from the CNA

Chaterm before 0.12.1 contains a login cross-site request forgery vulnerability that allows remote attackers to inject login state by sending chaterm:// callbacks without OAuth state validation. Attackers can trigger a crafted callback with attacker-controlled userInfo from a web page, signing the victim into the attacker's account so default data sync uploads saved hosts, passwords, and private keys.
