Summary

tftp-hpa 5.4 before 6.0 contains an out-of-bounds read in rewrite_string() in tftpd/remap.c that walks heap memory during jump label searches. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a read or write request whose filename matches a remap jump rule, crashing the forked in.tftpd request handler. The flaw is tracked as CWE-125.
