Summary
The @backstage/backend-defaults package before 0.17.8 in Backstage has improper input validation in its cloud storage URL readers. An attacker can craft object names that collide with protected files in the output directory (CWE-22). An attacker with write access to a cloud storage bucket used by Backstage can exploit this, and in certain deployment configurations this can lead to content injection.
