Six Apart Ltd. Movable Type versions 8.0.0 through 8.0.12, 8.8.0 through 8.8.5 and 9.0.0 through 9.0.9 are affected, as are Movable Type Premium versions 2.0 through 2.17 and 9.0.0 through 9.0.9, and both Cloud Editions versions 9.2.0 through 9.2.1. The Site Search function fails to neutralize special SQL elements in input used in a query (CWE-89). An unauthenticated remote attacker can run an arbitrary SQL query on the affected product.
