Summary
GIMP's PCX export plug-in is affected in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. A heap-based buffer overflow occurs because the buffer size calculation overflows 32-bit width times height arithmetic for extremely large images, while later operations use the full image extent (CWE-119). A local attacker with no privileges needs a user to take an action, such as exporting an image, and the flaw can affect integrity and availability.

Description from the CNA
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s PCX export plug-in. For images with extremely large width and height, buffer allocation uses overflowing 32-bit width * height arithmetic while subsequent GEGL operations use the full extent, after integer overflow in size calculation
