Summary
Brocade Fabric OS versions before 10.0.1 parse user-supplied list strings into dynamically allocated heap arrays during trunk configuration operations, without checking the maximum number of elements. An authenticated administrator can send crafted REST API requests containing an excessive number of list delimiters, corrupting the heap and possibly crashing the service or allowing arbitrary code execution. CWE-122 (Heap-based Buffer Overflow) is the weakness; CVSS 4.0 base score 8.5 (HIGH). CISA has not added it to KEV, and its SSVC assessment rates exploitation as none, not automatable, with total technical impact.

Description from the CNA
When Brocade Fabric OS versions before 10.0.1 processes trunk configuration operations, the application parses user-supplied list strings into dynamically allocated heap arrays without enforcing boundary checks on the maximum allowable number of elements. An authenticated administrator can exploit this vulnerability via crafted REST API requests containing an excessive number of list delimiters, causing heap corruption that can result in service crash or arbitrary code execution.
