Summary

Hazelcast versions before 5.4.5, from 5.5.0 before 5.5.10, and from 5.6.0 before 5.6.1 are affected, as is the com.hazelcast:hazelcast Maven package before 5.7.0. Missing authorization checks in the IMap Predicates API (CWE-862) let a malicious client with limited privileges run arbitrary code on a Hazelcast cluster member. The attacker needs only low privileges and network access, and no user interaction is required.

Description from the CNA

Hazelcast is a unified real-time data platform combining stream processing with a fast data store. Prior to 5.4.5, 5.5.10, and 5.6.1, missing authorization checks in the IMap Predicates API allow a malicious client with limited privileges to execute arbitrary code on a Hazelcast cluster member. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.5, 5.5.10, 5.6.1, and 5.7.0.
