Summary

IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2 contain a buffer overflow in the Sniffer component. Input is copied into a buffer without checking its size (CWE-120), so data can be written past the end of the buffer. A remote attacker without privileges or user interaction can execute arbitrary code.
