Summary

plugNmeet Server through 2.5.2 is affected. A path traversal flaw (CWE-22) in the whiteboard conversion endpoint lets a meeting participant supply crafted filePath values that point outside the intended directory, so the server reads files it should not expose. The converted page images can then be fetched without authentication through the download path. The references link an exploit, and CISA SSVC rates exploitation as poc.

Description from the CNA

plugNmeet Server through 2.5.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the whiteboard conversion endpoint that allows any meeting participant to read server files via crafted filePath values. Attackers can supply ../ sequences so text or office documents are converted into page images, then fetch them unauthenticated through /download/uploadedFile/.
