Summary
Siemens Industrial Edge App Publisher versions before V1.27.9 do not properly sanitize or escape data received from the backend before rendering it in the user interface, which is a cross-site scripting flaw (CWE-79). Because the front end is integrated with Node.js, an attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript, which can be leveraged to achieve remote code execution on the victim's machine. An unauthenticated remote attacker needs a user to interact with the application to exploit it.
