Summary

An issue in mp4v2 2.0.0 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code. The flaw is in MP4RtpAtom::ReadHntiType() in src/atom_rtp.cpp, where an unchecked offset subtraction (CWE-190) lets an undersized rtp atom produce a near-2^64 allocation size. An attacker with low privileges on the local system can trigger it with a specially crafted MP4 file, and no user interaction is required.
