Attack profile from CVSS 4.0 · CNA. Fix status from CNA. Impact type from CWE-601.
Summary
Frappe versions before 15.116.0 and from 16.0.0 before 16.29.0 are affected. The OAuth login flow uses a client-supplied state parameter, without sanitizing it, to choose where the user goes after authentication, which is an open redirect (CWE-601). An unauthenticated remote attacker can craft a state value that redirects a user to an attacker-chosen location, but the user must interact with the crafted login flow.

Description from the CNA
Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 15.116.0 and 16.29.0, the OAuth login flow uses an unsanitized client-controlled state parameter to select post-authentication navigation, allowing a crafted state value to redirect a user to an attacker-chosen location. This issue is fixed in versions 15.116.0 and 16.29.0.
