Attack profile from CVSS 3.1 · CISA ADP. Fix status from CNA. Impact type from CWE-639.
Summary
The Sifalo Pay WordPress plugin from 2.0 before 2.5.3 does not verify that a payment transaction identifier belongs to the order it confirms, or that the requester owns that order. An unauthenticated remote attacker who holds one valid transaction identifier from their own payment can mark arbitrary pending orders as paid. This is an authorization bypass through a user-controlled key (CWE-639). A public exploit is linked in the references.

Description from the CNA
The Sifalo Pay WordPress plugin before 2.5.3 does not verify that a payment transaction identifier belongs to the order it is confirming, nor that the requester owns that order, allowing unauthenticated attackers holding one valid transaction identifier from a payment of their own to mark arbitrary pending orders as paid.
