Summary

miniupnpc through 2.3.3 contains a one-byte heap out-of-bounds read in the minixml parseatt function (CWE-125). A malicious UPnP gateway can send crafted replies that make the client read past buffer bounds. An attacker on the local network who spoofs a gateway serving device descriptions or SOAP responses ending in '=' can crash the client. A public exploit is linked in the references.
