Summary
The unshield tool and library from 0 through 1.6.2 by twogood contain a heap out-of-bounds read in unshield_get_file_table() (CWE-125). Unchecked cabinet header offsets let the function read past heap allocations. An attacker who supplies a crafted InstallShield cabinet with an out-of-range file table offset or large file count can crash unshield or its library consumers, and a user must open the file.
