Summary

Progress Kendo UI for jQuery from v2023.1.117 before v2026.3.1015 renders remotely supplied file and directory names as HTML in its FileBrowser and ImageBrowser components without proper encoding. This is a cross-site scripting flaw (CWE-80) in which an attacker-controlled file or directory name containing script-related HTML runs JavaScript in the user's browser. Exploitation requires no privileges or user interaction, and the attacker can compromise the confidentiality and integrity of data accessible to the affected application.
