Summary

OpenJPH through 0.32.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds write in the HTJ2K cleanup-pass decoder. A crafted .j2c or .jph codestream with small precinct sizes makes the decoder write a second row past a one-row codeblock buffer, corrupting memory and crashing the process. The weakness is CWE-787, Out-of-bounds Write, with a CVSS 4.0 base score of 6.9 (MEDIUM). CISA rates exploitation as PoC, not automatable, with partial technical impact, and has not added it to KEV.
