Summary

EFAK from 5.0.0 through 5.1.0 has a missing authorization flaw (CWE-862) in the /api/users endpoints, which lack administrator role checks. An authenticated user with low privileges can send POST, PUT, or DELETE requests to grant themselves ROLE_ADMIN, create administrators, or delete users, gaining control of managed Kafka clusters. The CVSS 4.0 vector rates the attack as network-based and low complexity.
