Summary

Niefy wx-api through 0.8.2 contains an authentication bypass that lets unauthenticated attackers act as WeChat fans by supplying a raw openid cookie to fan-facing controllers. An attacker who knows a victim's openid can read nickname, phone, unionid and tags through the /wxUser/getUserInfo and /wxUserTags endpoints, and can add or remove fan tags. The flaw is tracked as CWE-306, missing authentication for a critical function. Exploitation requires a known openid, and a proof-of-concept is reported but the flaw is not in CISA KEV.

Niefy wx-api through 0.8.2 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to impersonate WeChat fans by supplying a raw openid cookie to fan-facing controllers.
