Summary
In the Linux kernel, the IIO stm32-adc driver is affected from 5.16 before the fixed releases. A conversion that fails or returns zero can lead to a division by zero when the driver processes the value, because the error and zero cases are not checked before the division. The driver now treats a zero converted value, such as from the Vrefint channel, as invalid in all cases.

Description from the CNA
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: stm32-adc: fix possible division by zero in processed channel In case the conversion has failed or returned zero, processing *val can lead to a division by zero. Need to check for errors, or converted value is zero, before processing the data. In case the converted value is zero, e.g. the Vrefint channel, this should be considered as invalid in all cases.
