Summary
The Linux kernel from 2.6.21 is affected. The USB serial driver frees its dynamic ids before it deregisters the driver and removes the new_id attribute, so a racing write to new_id can add an id that is leaked. The sources report no CWE, CVSS vector or known exploitation.
