Summary
Bootc with containers-common applies unsigned content during automatic or manual upgrades of a mutable image tag when the default containers signature policy falls through to insecureAcceptAnything. The flaw is a failure to verify content authenticity (CWE-345). An attacker who can update that tag can run arbitrary OS content as the host root filesystem on reboot.
