Summary

OpenSRE through 0.1.2026.10.19 lets attackers run shell_run commands without confirmation, because the headless presenter's execution_allowed() always returns True. An attacker can inject instructions into alerts or Slack messages that the agent triages, then run commands on the host and exfiltrate LLM, Slack and cloud credentials. The flaw is classified as CWE-862 Missing Authorization and scored 9.3 CRITICAL under CVSS 4.0. A public proof of concept exists, CISA SSVC rates it automatable with total technical impact, and it is not in CISA KEV.

Remediation

No fixed version is listed for Tracer-Cloud's opensre. Until a fixed release is available, remove shell_run from the agent's tools or require manual approval before it runs, and treat alert and Slack content as untrusted input.
