Summary

Advantech ADAM-3600 versions before 2.8.5.0 contain a flaw in the proprietary protocol (CWE-307). The protocol does not limit failed authentication attempts, so a remote attacker can try administrator passwords without restriction, even when the SafeEnhancement feature is enabled. The attacker needs only network access and no credentials.
