Summary

@e2e-dev/github before 0.4.1 from tester-army has an incorrect authorization flaw (CWE-863). Its findComment and upsertComment functions never check the comment author, so a user who can comment on a pull request can take over CI test reports by posting comments with the predictable marker. Such an attacker can receive results in their own comment, change failures to passes, or suppress genuine reports. The attack needs low privileges and passive user participation.

Description from the CNA

@e2e-dev/github before 0.4.1 contains an improper authorization vulnerability that allows pull request commenters to hijack CI test reports by posting comments with the predictable marker. Because findComment and upsertComment in post.ts never check the comment author, attackers can receive results in their own comment and edit failures to passes, or suppress genuine reports entirely.
