Summary
Eclipse ThreadX FileX from 0 through 6.5.1.202602 is affected. A missing check on the quantity of log data lets fault-tolerant log replay write past a heap buffer when mounting a crafted FAT image, and the attacker controls both the write position and the value. A local user with no privileges who gets a device to mount such an image can make the write reach the FX_MEDIA driver callback and take control of the instruction pointer. The flaw is classified as CWE-1284 and CWE-787.

Description from the CNA
Mounting an attacker-controlled FAT image with fault tolerance enabled causes an out-of-bounds heap write during log replay. The write is attacker-positioned and attacker-valued, and on a common embedded memory layout it reaches the FX_MEDIA driver callback, giving control of the instruction pointer.
