Summary
VPL (Virtual Programming Lab) for Moodle from 0 before 5.0.0 contains a reflected cross-site scripting flaw in similarity/diff.php. The filename1 and filename2 parameters are not encoded, which lets a remote attacker inject script through a crafted link (CWE-79). An attacker must get a user holding mod/vpl:similarity to open the link, and the script then runs under that user's session, where it can perform actions or disclose data. VPL (Virtual Programming Lab) for Moodle before 5.0.0 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows remote attackers to inject script via unencoded filename1/filename2 parameters in similarity/diff.php. Attackers can craft a diff.php link with a JavaScript payload that runs when a user holding mod/vpl:similarity opens it, performing actions or disclosing data under their session.
