Summary
OpenStack Ironic from 17.0.0 before 29.1.1, from 30.0.0 before 32.1.1, from 33.0.0 before 35.1.1 and from 36.0.0 before 39.0.1 is affected. Ironic sometimes fails to enforce the dedicated maintenance endpoint, letting a user change a node's maintenance setting through a PATCH to /v1/nodes/{ident} (CWE-424). A remote user with low privileges and no user interaction can trigger this, although the attack is hard to carry out, with limited impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability.

Description from the CNA
OpenStack Ironic before 39.0.1 sometimes allows a user to change the maintenance setting on a node via PATCH to /v1/nodes/{ident} - in other words, not using the specific maintenance endpoint.
