Summary

RPly through 1.1.4 has an improper array index validation flaw (CWE-129) in ply_read_header_property(), which accepts list as a list property's length or value type. A crafted PLY file can make ply_read_list_property() call an out-of-bounds function pointer handler, crashing ASCII parsing or corrupting memory in binary parsing. CVSS 4.0 base score is 6.9 (MEDIUM), and CISA's SSVC rates exploitation as PoC, not automatable, with partial technical impact. Red Hat lists one product as not affected.
