Summary

Signal K Server from 2.28.0-beta.2 before 2.34.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the App Store icon fetcher. The fetcher trusts absolute signalk.appIcon URLs, so an attacker who publishes an npm package with Signal K keywords can make the server request loopback, vessel network, or cloud metadata endpoints (CWE-918). Image-typed responses are stored and served back through the admin UI. An unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger this, but user interaction is required.
