Summary

Supermicro BMC firmware for the MBD-X12SPI board, from 01.07.20, has a weak launch token for its iKVM feature. The HTML5 KVM-over-IP console authenticates with a token generated from a predictable time-based seed (CWE-337). An attacker who can guess the session token may take control of the KVM session, and the CVSS vector indicates the attack is network-based, needs high complexity, and requires user interaction.

Description from the CNA

The HTML5 KVM-over-IP console authenticates with a token returned by the web interface. Weaknesses in token generation may allow an attacker to guess the session token and take control of the KVM session.
