Summary

SemanticMediaWiki from 3.1.0 before 7.3.1 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability (CWE-79) because the default parameter of JsonResultPrinter is not escaped. An unauthenticated attacker can lure a victim to a crafted Special:Ask link with a zero-result query and request_type=special_page, which runs JavaScript in the wiki origin to steal sessions or CSRF tokens. The CVSS 4.0 base score is 5.3 (MEDIUM).
