Summary

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 from 8.0 through 8.5.0.1014 lets a user with the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Administrator role read arbitrary files on the backup server. The flaw is an incorrect authorization check (CWE-863). A remote attacker who holds that administrator role can read files with LocalSystem privileges, and the CVSS 4.0 vector shows high confidentiality impact on the vulnerable system and the subsequent system.
