Summary

The Android Auto service in Alpine iLX-F511 devices, from version 7.0.000, is affected. The service does not validate the length of user-supplied data before copying it to a fixed-length stack buffer, causing a stack-based buffer overflow (CWE-121). A network-adjacent attacker without authentication can execute arbitrary code with root privileges.
