Summary

ProFTPD through 1.3.9e and from 1.3.10rc1 before 1.3.10rc5 is affected. A link-following flaw (CWE-59) in the mod_copy module lets the server act on symbolic links placed in writable directories. An authenticated FTP user can use such a symlink to overwrite files in locations that Limit WRITE denies.
