Summary

OpenStack keystonemiddleware versions before 10.12.2, from 11.0.0 before 12.0.1, and from 13.0.0 before 13.0.2 are affected. Incorrect authorization (CWE-863) lets a request that supplies a custom X-Service-Token header bypass the restrictions on an access-restricted application credential. An attacker with low privileges over the network who holds such a credential can gain elevated privileges.

Description from the CNA

In OpenStack keystonemiddleware before 13.0.2, by supplying a custom X-Service-Token header in a request, anyone in possession of an access-restricted application credential may bypass those restrictions resulting in elevation of privileges.
