Summary

The deepset-ai farm package up to 0.8.0 has a path traversal flaw in the EmbeddingTokenizer.from_pretrained function in farm/modeling/tokenization.py. Manipulating the vocab_filename argument lets an attacker reach files outside the intended directory (CWE-22). A remote attacker can trigger it, and a public exploit has been published. The vendor did not respond to early disclosure, and the maintainer no longer supports the product.
