Summary

OpenAirInterface (OAI) CN5G AMF v2.2.1 is affected. Insufficient length validation in the DecodeSuci() function of the NAS decoder causes an integer underflow (CWE-191) that leads to an out-of-bounds heap read. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send NAS Registration Requests with a truncated SUCI in the 5GS Mobile Identity IE, crashing the AMF process and causing a denial of service.
