Attack profile from CVSS 4.0 · CNA. Fix status from CNA. Impact type from CWE-862.

Summary

Eclipse Mnestix Browser versions from 1.2.0 before 2.3.0 are affected. Server-side actions that should be restricted to authorized Mnestix users lack authorization checks (CWE-862), so an unauthenticated remote attacker can change the Infrastructure settings and call the connected, authenticated Mnestix AAS Generator backend. The CVSS 4.0 vector shows no attack complexity, no prerequisites and no user interaction, with low confidentiality and availability impact and high integrity impact.

Description from the CNA

In Eclipse Mnestix Browser versions 1.2.0 up until but excluding 2.3.0 it was possible for an unauthenticated attacker to perform actions that are only allowed to be executed by an authorized Mnestix user, like changing the Infrastructure settings or calling the connected and authenticated Mnestix AAS Generator backend.
