Summary
Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.4 and 26.6 are affected. Improper authentication (CWE-287) in the Keycloak Account REST API lets a malicious client owner change their own security tokens to point at another user's active session. An attacker with low privileges can access and modify the victim's account if the victim interacts with the attack, potentially taking over the account by changing the recovery email and resetting the password.

Description from the CNA
A flaw was found in the Keycloak Account REST API where it incorrectly handles session identification. A malicious client owner can manipulate their own security tokens to point to a different user's active session. This allows the attacker to access and modify the victim's account information, potentially leading to a full account takeover by changing the recovery email and resetting the password.
