Summary

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 is affected. Improper handling of case sensitivity (CWE-178) means an access restriction is not applied to all variations of the input. A remote authenticated attacker with high privileges can bypass the restriction and send unauthorized emails.

Description from the CNA

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to bypass security restrictions due to improper handling of case sensitivity. An access restriction is not applied consistently to all variations of the input, which could allow it to be circumvented and unauthorized emails to be sent.
