Summary

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 uses a hard-coded cryptographic key to protect stored credentials. An attacker with access to stored data can decrypt sensitive credentials, because the key is built into the product. The weakness is classified as CWE-798 (Use of Hard-coded Credentials). CVSS 3.1 base score is 6.8 (MEDIUM), with network attack vector, high attack complexity, no privileges or user interaction required, and high confidentiality impact.

Description from the CNA

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 could allow an attacker with access to stored data to decrypt sensitive credentials due to the use of a hard-coded cryptographic key. The key protecting stored credentials is built into the product, so credentials could be decrypted if the stored data is obtained.
