Summary

Apache SkyWalking BanyanDB from 0.11.0 before 0.11.1 has an improper authorization flaw (CWE-863) in its Canopy component. The incomplete proof-of-concept monitoring proxy does not enforce readonly role restrictions, so under a non-default configuration a readonly Canopy user can send non-read requests through it to a reachable monitoring target. An attacker needs a valid readonly Canopy account to exploit it.
