Attack profile from CVSS 4.0 · CNA. Fix status from CNA. Impact type from CWE-613.

Summary

Wazuh 4.0.0 before 4.14.8 fails to invalidate issued tokens for run_as users with zero static roles, because check_token never consults the blacklist. An attacker holding revoked administrator grants can keep authenticating and link the administrator role to themselves, so they retain privileged access permanently. CWE-613 applies. Exploitation requires high privileges, and the CVSS vector rates the impact as high for confidentiality, integrity and availability.

Description from the CNA

Wazuh 4.0.0 before 4.14.8 fails to invalidate issued tokens for run_as users with zero static roles, because check_token never consults the blacklist. Attackers with revoked administrator grants can continue authenticating and self-link the administrator role to permanently retain privileged access.
